The singularity phase two, xenotaph

Futuristic progressive melodic death metalcore, spiritual orchestral rock. This is phase 2, xenotaph, the 9 year awaited album by the progressive melodic death metal scar symmetry. It's the second album in the singularity trilogy. The sequel to phase 1, the singularity.

It comes with that familiar velocity of futuristic digital metal yet with its own identity. The theme of neo humans is as prevalent as ever but this time, they focus more on the alien invasion and integration part. I call it the futuristic evolved pitch black progress and singularity.

From fiery technical fast spacy riffs and drum blast beats to slower melodic euphoric melancholy, it evolves and perfects it. Sometimes I felt like an alien taking over an earthly planet and others, like ascending through futuristic spiritual universes. It has many songs that move and raise your soul.

It has bouts of metalcore breakdowns of brutality with grace and deep themes meaning. The singer and growler are as great as ever. One singing with angelic soaring energy and grace. One growling the darkest and deepest passionate growls of the destruction and theme. Like a metal musical about transhumanism, technological consumption, losing our roots, Identity for comfort and power, oncoming end from within and being lost and a slave to technology.

It's still got industrial robotic dark sci fi ambience with grand esoteric virtuoso that touches your mind and soul. Some of it feels and sounds like a high octane musical of futuristic evil destruction. Like a melodic metalcore orchestral score for a villian in a fantasy video game. They have made another deeper and different kind of metal musical concept wonder.
