Full of soulful melancholy virtuoso solos and gritty upbeat vicious chaotic tranquility. I felt i was in a circus play of haunting classical harmonies and ancient escalating futuristic lands of operatic adventure. Tommy growls and sings operatically about how the future is the past, barbaric instincts, how extinction is creation, our obsession to fix what was and how its all filtered and evolved primitive life. the theme of primitive future is very prominent here.
How they mend colors songs and references into the new ones is sublime. Like colors 2 is the first one and the original is two. Another revolution of progressive metal, music and discovery. a masterpiece of artistic music.
