Psychedelic groovy melodies, euphoric soul elevating technical rock. This is catharsis, the third album by the groove psychedelic alternative metal emo rock band, covet. Much like the earlier releases but with new sounds, effects and maturity.

Full of hard and soft rock ballads with some orchestra mixed in as well. The ambience of distorting peaceful dreamy melancholy and nostalgic enlighting innocence runs strong through every song. It keeps surprising you with 80s slow drifting synthwave solos and melodic euphoria.

Some songs made me feel like I was a firebird flying in burning memories with the sunset while others sounded like a magical adventure through a mystical forest. They capture the song and theme magically and perfectly. They sing the lyrics about peaceful hope, wonder, reflection and new ways while never forgetting the past through the instruments and Yvette's angelic operatic voice with soul.

A state of magical distorting catharsis you won't mind going through many times.
